Université Musicale Hourtin Médoc

Association « Université Musicale Hourtin Médoc » is a non profit organization founded in 1996 dedicated to fostering the growth of musical instruction. It grew to become a place of musical creativity, artistic and cultural exchange.

In 2004, under the presidency of Jean Raymond Peintre and the artistic direction of Zoya Zorin, the organization merged with  Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves  whose honorary president was and will stay ad vitam aeternam, Mstislav Rostropovitch.

The interaction of renowned artists and students coming from all over the world makes this academy a unique experience in the Aquitaine region.

Composed of two different sessions, Université Musicale Hourtin Médoc organizes the following festivals and masterclasses:
« Rencontres Musicales Hourtin Médoc », in the spring and
« Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves », in the summer and under the umbrella of « Scènes d’Eté en Gironde » and « Aquitaine en Scène ».
