Master Class - Summer session

THE NINTH EDITION OF «Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves» is geared for musicians of all professional horizons. Through its Master Class sessions and concerts, «Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves» has become a prestigious pedagogical institution where students and distinguished artists exchange ideas in the beautiful settings of the Graves region.

The student chamber orchestra will closely collaborate with celebrated musicians such as Maxim VENGEROV and Jean-François ZYGEL. These performances will be part of the regional festival organizations « Scène d’été en Gironde » and « Aquitaine en Scène » 2008. Encouraged by a positive experience in 2007, famed jazz violinist Didier LOCKWOOD will come back for another master class and performance.

Location:
Students will reside at the Château Moulerens in Gradignan, 15 Kms from Bordeaux. The 40 acres property is surrounded by some of the most famous wineries in the world and is 50 km away from the beaches of Arcachon and Europe’s largest dune.
The château offers the possibility to work in a quiet environment, has a large park with 6 tennis courts, gym, sauna, and an olympic size pool.
